Hiatus

To the people that still read/check this, we (Jake and Cooper) are taking a Hiatus. 

Cooper has no computer to write currently so I will be writing on my own. He may come back later on when he can purchase his own PC. 

With that, I will be creating a new personal blog where I can better myself at writing. I will post a link to that blogger when I get that set up. In the meantime please follow us on twitter!

Let's Play Silent Hill 2 (HD) Episode 1

So Halloween is pretty much what October is all about. I figured: why not play some horror games in appreciation of the holiday? I present my first "Let's Play", Silent Hill 2. Regarded as one of the scariest games of all time. Please note as this is my first let's play and I'm aware that I'm a noobie. 

A classic revisited: The Legend Of Link

Imagine a Zelda movie. What's the first thing that comes to mind? Kid in a green suit? Navi the annoying fairy? Well such a movie was made about six years ago, and you probably have never even heard of it. I present to you: The Legend of Link. A Zelda fan film which is pretty well done for a bunch of young kids with a lot of free time. Excuse the quality, this was when uploading videos to the internets was a new thing. As gamers would say: it's better than Resident Evil 6.

Introduction

     I guess I'll introduce myself.  I’m Cooper Nichols and I am a 15 year old nerd who sits around and plays games. I play Battlefield, Minecraft, DayZ, Halo, and whatever else I find entertaining. I’m currently in a Journalism class, and I hope to go somewhere with writing in the future, so this is a great place to start. I've been writing various stuff since I was about 9, including short stories and whatever I feel like. So let's get started.

Where to start...

Here goes nothing.

I guess this is where I should introduce myself, and why I started this. But really, there’s not much to say.

I’ve been writing since I was twelve (i think), and like every other aspiring game journalist, I wanted to “make” games for a living. Shortly after realizing that it was much harder than I had initially thought, I went back to the writing/playing drums for a living idea. I then realized how writing and games come together to create the thing that is: video game journalism.

I’ve been stuck at the same job and town for too long now, and I believe that I can use this blog as a stepping stone towards something greater that I aspire to be. So please excuse me as an newbie writer, as I try to hone my writing skills, and learn the ways of video game journalism.
